Take Me Home Tonight

This is not one of the best movies I watched. But there are certain things that caught my attention. Halfway through the movie I made it clear that i'm not gonna write about this. But as I reached the last part, I thought I should come out and write about, The. Main. Story.

There are three stories going on, if I make it clear, story of Matt, story of Wendy & story of Barry. I'm focusing on the story of Matt, the handsome looking, smart guy from MIT, who used one of the 'two words' in almost every sentence he spoke.

“Tori Fredreking, is back” the starting words, of the movie, said by this cool guy named Matt, shorten form of Matthew Franklin ( Topher Grace ), to his, umm, the stuck up looking friend, Barry ( Dan Fogler ) . “Seven minutes in heaven” is the entry point to flash back to tenth grade, on how the game 'truth or dare' got himself and Tori ( Teresa Palmer ) in to a closet, and how she said the entire party after they came out, that guy is an. Amazing. Kisser. The funny part is, he had never kissed her. This starts painting an image of Matt & Tori, in the eyes of the audience. Another point that caught my attention was how Matt and Windy ( Anna Faris ) speaks the same words together. “.........how do you know what I was gonna say.......”. This is the first signal of them being twins. And this thought is confirmed by the very next statement Barry makes.

The touch of humour is nicely spread throughout the movie starting the hilarious situation of Barry turing the entire Suncoast Video store,  upside down in the process of giving 'the lady' his phone number in order to date.

The intro is sound and colourful. Once you watch the movie you'll know exactly what this means, will leave it for you to enjoy.

The movie lasts for one day starting from how Matt meets Tori at the Suncoast Video store and the mentioning of a party that night. The story flows on how Matt got Tori's attention and made it the best night he ever lived. Towards the end of the movie Matt finds it even more difficult on deciding what he wants in life and what's the path he should choose to succeed in life. It's pretty funny the way he asked Tori's phone number after all the happenings of that ONE day.

I should highlight this little speech he made, which is the summary of the movie:

“I dont know what I'm doing up here, i'm scared. You know what, I had been so afraid of my life, that I missed my life, but i'm like all of you. We are all scared. I mean c;mon admit it. We are trying to be something that we are not, but tonight, all of that changes, tonight, I'm not afraid”

The story of Matt is a nice one. Apart from that, him being a twin, the presentation of twin spirit is lovely. So, Enjoy, the story of Matt, in Take Me Home Tonight.
